This is the renovated school in Mabuya in the center of our target region. This is the only school with a decent building in the region. One of our dreams is to build schools in in Thonkomba and Mabamba villages. A school and a well have a powerful impact now and for the future. In 2024, we dug a bored well in Mabuya after completing wells in Mabamba and Thonkomba.
A significant number of school-aged children remain out of school. In 2018, there were
an estimated 524,000 children out of school, which represented 22% of children aged six to
18 years. Of the out-of-school children, two-thirds had never attended school while one-third had dropped out prematurely. Other organizations are building and equipping schools, but there is a long way to go. We want to do our part.
