These young Sierra Leonean leaders are all alumni of the YES international exchange program. They are now university students who volunteer to help youth in their country. They were trained by Uman Tok, a Days for Girls enterprise that hires women to sew and produce reusable menstrual hygiene kits. They have also been trained by World Hope International to recognize signs of human trafficking and take appropriate action. They also distribute books and sports equipment to schools when barrels are shipped by Understanding Works and its partners in the Quad Cities region.
