It would be nice if there were a flowchart! We don’t know how to do most of what we dream of doing. We suppose that if we keep learning as fast as we can, we can go further the same way we got this far. We give our all-out effort and then acknowledge that it’s not up to us. God makes a way when it looks impossible to us.

But there are some principles we intend to follow. White Field Partners will:

  1. Honor God and people. We won’t have honorable partnerships without that.
  2. Realize that we’re not smarter, and we don’t know better. This has often been the attitude of organizations from the western world, even Christian missions. We reject paternalism and gifts with lots of strings attached.
  3. Be transparent about money, communication, results, and mistakes.
  4. Follow the “Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship” set by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
  5. Give others a way to get involved. There’s plenty of room, and it lightens the load.
  6. Ask lots of good questions.
  7. Trust God and be patient. Our success usually comes from perseverance and showing up.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6
